Dental implants have become the most popular and trustworthy dental procedures around the world. The increasing interest in dental tourism and dental treatments abroad have put a whole new perspective on the possibilities of undergoing cheaper dental interventions while enjoying a relaxing and dreamy vacation abroad.

Advantages of choosing dental clinics in the Czech Republic

Although the Czech healthcare system is struggling to modernize itself after the communist dictatorship, many dentists and surgeons took the opportunity to privatize with the arrival of the free market economy, an aspect that led to a rapid growth of the private healthcare system. Many private dental clinics and facilities in the Czech Republic are equipped to match the highest standards and to offer world class dental care at minimum prices, such as teeth whitening treatments

With the development of the private healthcare facilities that are designed to meet even the highest demands of western visitors, the Czech Republic has become a hotspot for high-quality and low-cost dental treatments for thousands of tourists that seek cheap dental implants abroad.

What are the types of Czech dental implants available nowadays?

Dental implants are tooth roots made of titanium that are embedded into the jawbone on which, after the healing of the bone, the artificial teeth are mounted.

There are two types of implants that are safe to use for dental implantology in the Czech Republic:

•    endosteal implants: this type of implant is surgically inserted into the jawbone. After the gum tissue is completely healed, a second surgery comes to connect the abutment (the artificial tooth base) on which the tooth crown (the actual artificial tooth) is attached.
•    subperiosteal implants: this type of implant consists of a metal frame that is fitted onto the jawbone, below the gum tissue. Once the gums are healed, the metal frame is permanently fixed to the jawbone. As with endosteal implants, the artificial teeth are mounted on top of the subperiosteal implants.

Costs of dental implants in the Czech Republic

The costs of dental procedures in most of the western countries can be discouraging, to say the least. If you are considering seeking dental treatment abroad, our dental tourism specialists can recommend affordable dental care with high-quality expectations.

Since it has become a dental tourism attraction, the Czech Republic is mostly visited by tourists coming from Switzerland and UK. A weekend trip in which you can take care of your oral health and benefit from a relaxing vacation to a foreign country can help you save a big amount of money when compared to the fees practiced by western dental clinics.

The price for a dental implant in the Czech Republic starts at 498 euros while the cost of an implant in Switzerland starts at 2800 euros.
